I kindly received a surprise package of bits and pieces from House of Wonderland's brand new Jewellery Club. The Jewellery Club is a subscription service that you can sign up to to receive a box jam packed with adorable pieces once a month.  House of Wonderland provide a vast range of the cutest of cute stuff from temporary tattoos, stickers, note books, bags, cards, pins and more. Each piece is designed with the company's signature cute and fun characters which is a trend that is super hot right now with other brands like Kawaii. 

The Jewellery Club box includes a handcrafted necklace such as the adorable mountain top one I have, two sets of earrings and 1-2 mystery items which is what makes this monthly treat that extra bit special! 

I think this would make a wonderful gift for someone, retailing at just £12 it would make a really lovely surprise for a friend to receive at their door. I love the fact that the contents is a complete surprise as you won't spend endless time trying to decide what to give your friend! If they like adorable things, they are bound to love this box of goodies! 

Jewellery Club is also great for all ages. Customers around my age I think could totally work these pieces, either as a subtly addition to a simple outfit or by going all out and decorating yourself in these gorgeous items for a festival or gig. Be prepared to get wet..

Prepare to get very wet at Niagara Falls! If you are taking the boat cruise that is. You get given a standard rain poncho, but I tell you, that water gets in every nook and cranny no matter how hard you try and cover yourself up! Tip: don't wear fake tan, it will run. Tip: don't wear jeans, you'll never get them off again. The boat doesn't go under the Falls and drench you on purpose or anything but the Falls are so powerful the spray gets flown at you from all angles.

A downside of going to Niagara

The Falls is such a beautiful place and most often a one off experience for those who visit it and you're gonna wanna capture its beauty in every way you can. Q the Snapchat pic and vid, then the standard phone camera pic, vid and pano, oh then lets get out the camera and try 150 different exposure settings. No chance. Unless you're happy for your gadgets to get soaked, you're gonna need a really good waterproof camera or gadget case to be able to take some snaps right in the heart of the Falls. I managed to take the photos in this post using my normal camera with no case, but they were not taken in the heart of the Falls where it is very wet and basically feels like it is raining! You can still get some great snaps and if you're careful you can try to get your camera inside your rain poncho to take a few quick photos. If you wanna be in the photos, you're probably gonna look a bit rough and weathered too, not gonna lie.

What else to do at Niagara besides the Falls?

If the boat cruise isn't your thing or you are slightly put off, or even wondering "where can I get a good photo at Niagara Falls!?", then I have a few pointers about what else you can get out of Niagara. We, being a large coach group, stayed at The Quality Inn in the heart of the city, about a 20 minute walk down to the waterfall. The little town immediately next to the falls is a very family friendly resort with lots of restaurants and arcades as well as having some good shops, bars and pubs for the adults. After drying off at the hotel and making ourselves look a little nicer, we headed back down to the Falls for dinner in the restaurant overlooking the lovely water. I think this was the Sheraton though I can't quite remember! The sun was going down and it was perfect lighting to have some nice photos taken with the Falls right behind us. We were even lucky enough to see several rainbows going right through the Falls! So cool! So we had dinner which had the best view I've ever had while eating a salad - the Falls light up as it got darker which was very impressive!

After dinner, we checked out an outdoor karaoke bar which had cheap drinks and a nice, local atmosphere with lots of 'talent' on stage. Myself and my tour group were obviously a bunch of 20 somethings so this was fun for us.

I don't think you can ever get tired of looking at natural beauty, especially when it is something so beautiful, elegant and powerful as a waterfall. I loved this experience so much that I'd love to go back and maybe do the helicopter trip over the Falls. I would consider it one of the wonders of the world, it truly is a bucket list must therefore, yes, Nigara Falls really is as great as it is made out to be. It is not a holiday destination though, you wouldn't want to spend a long time here but a must see if you're passing nonetheless.

Museums and things to do during the day

I only had two nights and one full day which was absolutely no where near enough time! To explore everything Washington D.C has, I needed so much more time! I completely missed out on the majority of museums and didn't even get a sniff and the shopping or restaurant facilities! However, in the full day I did have, me and my wee chum crammed in so much we developed colds by the evening we were so tired! We got up relatively early, and jumped on the metro to visit the Zoo! The metro is like the underground and really simple to follow - red lines, yellow lines and clearly marked stops so super easy and inexpensive to get around. The Zoo is so impressive! You literally need the best part of the day to see everything there! The usual lions, tigers, elephants but also orangutans, pandas and much more! We just picked a few that we wanted to see and were in and out in about an hour or two, so it is possible if you don't have time! Oh, and the Zoo is free entry!! 

Next we headed to some museums! All of which are also free! Well most, I think there are a few that you have to pay for, Smithsonian ones are all free. We checked out the Holocaust Memorial Museum first, which you can imagine was very chilling as well as extremely interesting. Note, it left us feeling a little deflated, it is so hard hitting. You see real artefacts from the Holocaust, real personal items, shoes of the victims, hair, beds, chambers and hundreds of pictures. There is a really beautiful memorial room where you can light a candle to remember the victims. The advice given to us was to go get a nice ice cream afterwards to cheer you up as it really does leave you on a downer - but again, a must see! 

After that we visited some more museums - I loved the Air & Space museum! There's also a Maccy D's in there, which was our pick me up from the Holocaust museum. If you're a super geek like me, this place is heaven. You see the very first plane ever made - made out of paper! Famous planes like that big retro red one Amelia Earhart flew. You can go inside aircraft and even touch a moon rock! And there's tons more spacey, planey, sciencey things to read about, learn and interact with. Loved this museum. 

Another must-do is the National Museum of Natural History. Loads of animal and natural specimens, loads of info and lots to learn. It is super huge so you could spend all day here too. You can even see real diamonds, worth millions of dollars which are so sparkly and pretty!! 

All of the main and best museums surround the Washington Monument (the tall thing with the spike) in a square so they are super easy to navigate but it is a very long distance the whole way around. Good walking shoes deffo needed to get from museum to museum at the least! So, after the museums, the sun was starting to go down and it was a really nice time to visit the Monument in the middle. If you get to the memorial for about 6 or 8 am (I can't quite remember which) you might be lucky enough to grab some tickets to go up the top of the monument which would be so fantastic! But we would not be able to make it around all those museums if we had gotten up that early haha. 

Our last visit of the day was to visit Obama at the White House! It is about a 10 minute walk from the monument, maybe less, you can see the back of it from there. We had some photos by the back gardens and then it was another 10 mins or so walk around to the front. You see some cool buildings on the way round too! It felt kind of surreal visiting the White House. You see it in so many films, all over the news etc, etc, it was amazing to actually be there! You need to visit this place, even if you have to squeeze it into your last 10 minutes of being in D.C! 

Temperature and how much money to take to Washington 

So I went in mid August and the weather was really hot, 30 degrees plus and it was really tiring and hot walking around from the zoo, between museums and then to the White House so it may be best to go when it is slightly cooler as it is a very busy, full on experience. I crammed so much into one day and an evening but I could easily spend perhaps 5 days to do everything at a leisurely pace. You don't need a lot of spending money with you if you visit Washington D.C because, as I said, most of the main attractions are free of charge. Of course, you need some dollar for food and more if you plan to go shopping. 

This has been just a very brief over view of everything there is to do in Washington D.C., there is so much more I didn't get a look at and I will certainly be returning in the future to do it all again and more. Have you every been to D.C? What museums did you visit/love?

I don't normally create posts like this but I've so often felt a little down about being a member of the Itty Bitty Titty Committee that I thought it would help boost my confidence by listing a few pros of having a smaller bust. I would just jot these down in my diary but by creating a small blog post, hopefully I can inspire others to love their bodies a little more. 

1. You want that bra? You go get that bra!

Us tiny tiddies' can pretty much get away with wearing any kind of bra. We can even fool people into thinking we have a bigger chest with push ups and chicken fillets. The best thing for me is that we can go strapless or backless, or better still, completely bra-less!! I really don't like seeing bra straps with strappy or strapless tops, such a pet hate of mine, so the majority of my summer bra stash consists of lovely strapless pieces. 

2. Sweet dreams on your front.

This is another biggy for me. I like to sleep slightly on my front, slightly on my side, if I had bigger boobies it just would not be comfortable what so ever. And like, where would you put your arm?! 

3. There's no need to worry about the lads, gals.

You've still got a handful, even if it is wee! Go teach yo man not to be so damn greedy. My face is up here. Some of the most gorgeous, famous women in the world are a member of the IBTC too! Think of Kate Moss and Mila Kunis for starters. 

4. Wear anything you mother ducking want.

Similar with the bra sitch, I think we can wear anything we want. No fears of popping out in low cut numbers, we look lovely and slender all the way down and super youthful. Sports bra? What's that? Whack ANY bikini on you want and go ride a bike! Go for a jog, it won't matter! Those girls are not going no-where. If I like something, I'll get it, usually without trying it on. I don't need specific clothing to cater to my chest and waist, "oh that won't fit my boobs" said no tiny boob woman, ever. 

5. Saggy boobs? What saggy boobs?

Even though most of us don't like thinking about getting ancient, especially since most of us have only just grown our boobs in the last decade, one huge 'little' plus about our tiny t's is that we will not be sagging! I reckon it will also help with back and posture issues - #winning. 

6. Dance like nobody's watching!

My favourite. Run, jump, workout, dance and boogie all day/night long with your little boobies without the worry of injuring yourself or creating a scene for a different reason. Ever heard of Flappers? They were 1920's girls who danced the night away and they were all flat chested. Even the fuller breasted girls tried to tape down their boobs so they could join in. 

So, go grab any bra you want, whack on any clobber you want and go enjoy yourself by doing whatever you want without worrying about your girls. Your reward? They won't embarrass you and they won't be twinning with your knees by 60. Love those iddy liddle lumps. 

After every big holiday or life event I experience, I tend to create a few pages in my scrapbook about them. For example, last year I worked in Walt Disney World so spent a good few pages of my A6 scrapbook pasting photos, diary entries and other memorable pieces I collected to help me remember this incredible experience. I think there is something a little nicer about making a scrapbook for memories rather than just a standard photo album. I'm a bit sentimental with certain things so I like to keep the tags and receipts from shops I've never been to before and other bits and pieces like tickets and passes - but what do you do with them when they're home?! I love a scrapbook as you can stick all of these things in one place and build a story about where you've been, it's very textured and fun to look at in the future. 

It's also great to add photos to help tell the story of whatever event is in the scrapbook. Previously, I'd just used my home printer to print a few, or had a few sent away for. This holiday I've just been on to San Francisco, Yosemite, Las Vegas and New York, I've been much more active on Instagram and think I've become better at taking those spontaneous, Insta-worthy snaps. So standard prints just didn't cut it! That's when I came across these gorgeous vintage inspired Polaroid snaps from PhotoBox! I've actually been looking for this style of print for years and finally more companies are starting to offer them at reasonable prices. I managed to order 40 Polaroid prints for £11.49 including delivery and this was with a discount (PhotoBox, Truprint etc always have some sort of offer on).

I'm a regular user of PhotoBox for standard prints and I like using their photo book building service for gifts as I think it is the easiest builder around. It was simple and easy to upload the images I wanted to turn into retro prints and you even have the option to add filters (even though I don't think they were very good, I edited mine on the apps I have on my phone) and crop/rotate etc. You can type a caption under the photo if you wish but I opted not to do this as I thought handwriting this would give a more authentic look. 

The prints arrived a bout 5 days after ordering and so cutely packaged! The packaging is good enough to keep the prints in if you're not looking to stick them anywhere. The prints aren't as glossy as regular prints, they have a slight matt finish which is quite nice. They come printed on card which makes them stronger than regular prints which is good considering they are more expensive than regular prints. I don't think the prints are as high quality as the standard ones but they are still absolutely fine. Overall I am really impressed with them, I just think they are absolutely adorable and will look perfect in my scrap book!

PhotoBox / Retro Prints / From £0.30 per print

This is the first Urban Decay eye shadow I've purchased. I was after a neutral colour from a high quality brand that would work as a base to keep my other eye shadows lasting the whole day. I picked up one of Urban Decay's individual eye shadows in shade 'SELLOUT' from Sephora while I was travelling around America last month. 

This shadow was not exactly what I was expecting. I was after a matte, skin colour shadow, as I said for a base. I guess the lighting in the shop made the tester look different than it actually was. Having said that, I am ever so pleased and happy with the product despite it not meeting my initial expectations regarding colour! 

First of all the shadow is extremely pigmented and 100% met my expectations for a high quality brand. Easily the most pigmented shadow I have probably ever owned! Just one light touch with your finger and the colour pay off is insane. So you may feel the product is a little pricey, but it is clearly going to last a long time. The packet boasts that the shadow is velvety to the touch, highly blendable and long lasting. I completely agree with these claims which is unusual for me. I like to use a really fluffy brush to apply, because it is so pigmented, I use the ZOEVA 142 Concealer Buffer brush for this. As the day goes on, with cheaper shadows and having oily skin, the shadow tends to melt and great a greasy, wet looking line of colour in the creases in my eye lid (not a good look), but thankfully I have seen this lessened greatly. Tip: To completely eliminate this 'melting, wet build up', I simply apply a cheap concealer to my lids after completing my eye shadow look and just blend over the hard line again and my eye shadow make up stays perfectly in place all day and night, it is literally revolutionary for me. Returning to UD, I assume the other colours in their range provide the same pigment too so I stress you guys to try a colour of your choice to take advantage of this super duper shadow! 

As for the colour itself, I mentioned it wasn't what I thought it was. In fact it is this beautiful pearly cream colour that works wonderfully as a light, shimmery base. But even more so, it makes the most gorgeous highlighter! I like to add a little dab on the centre of my eyelid, inner eye corner and brow bone to give a subtle, glowing effect that catches the light beautifully. 

I'm definitely going to be grabbing myself some more of these yummy shadows, are there any particular colours you could recommend? You can get them in the UK, but for the sake of saving a few pound I'm going to do a big order from Sephora which makes delivery to the UK just £6 when you spend £75 plus.
