I often get questions about how I get my hair like it is or how I care for it. Being naturally curly, my hair is very dry so I need to choose products that calm frizz and inject moisture. It's taken me a while but I think I've finally found the right hair care routine for me and I'd like to share it with you all.
I'd never been a huge tea drinker before, and certainly didn't think of drinking it as part of a healthy lifestyle so I was surprised to find this stuff actually works! When I came back from America my body was in severe need of some help after eating the endless burgers, fries, ice cream and all that 'good' stuff. So I was relieved to have found CuppaTeaUK who have since saved me from that grimy, fatty, UGH feeling hell! Read on to find out how I got on with my first ever body cleansing Teatox!
I've been looking for a setting spray for a while now, and I came across this one from Make-up Academy. Many of you will know this brand is known for its low price, high quality products, and this item doesn't differ!
Since I've been working in America all summer, I haven't blogged much at all. I have a rotten cold right now and look far too snotty for any form of make-up based or outfit post so thought I'd do a quick post of some bits and pieces I've purchased recently. Basically, I should be doing dissertation reading but I'm trying to think of every possible excuse not to come to terms with the fact my final year at university has started...
One of my favourite times of year is approaching! I adore fancy dress so whenever I get the opportunity to dress up, I'm all over that like a car b. I've been looking for some inspo on Pinterest for several weeks and thought I'd put together this post of what I think are good ideas for the big event. I don't know if anyone would really be interested in this, but it will at least help me sort my ideas into one place!

PRIMARK HAUL
Primark these past few months has been soooo good! the gems in Primark do sometimes take a little hunting to find, a little waiting for your size and a lot of patience and persistence!
I find myself shopping at Primark more than ever these days, especially since I'm a student. I think the quality has vastly improved since they started out, my dad (who is a complete Primark hater) actually complimented on a dress I bought the other day!
Here's hoping you enjoy my haul and find something you may like yourself.
Some of the items I bough a few weeks+ ago, so prices are estimates.
I was lucky enough to be gifted the Magnitone Pulsar, an advanced daily skincare brush. You may have read my introduction to the Pulsar review, I apologise if I repeat any of the information or opinions in this final review of the product. The difference with this review is that I am writing this at the end of my 7 day challenge, having used the Pulsar morning and evening, applied fake tan and used the Pulsar for removing excess tan.
I'm not going to make this holiday sound like a blogger's dream, 5 star, 1st class luxury resort, because it wasn't. My family and best friend just wanted a short break away for my 21st, as low cost as possible as we would prefer to save for a bigger, longer holiday later in the year. Having said that, this resort was really beautiful, great quality, lots of fun and I had an amazing time! The purpose of this review is to simply introduce you to somewhere you may not of thought to have gone, with some surprising features like infinity pools, nearby zoos, malls, fabulous all inclusive/half board food and located right on the beach. This is a bit of a long one but I hope you find it interesting and enjoy the photos!
Cheese scones are a personal, childhood favourite. I retrieved this recipe from my Gran's old cookery book, that we used to bake with my auntie all the time when I was little. In my opinion they taste and smell just like the gorgeous, fluffy, cheesy fresh scones you can get in Marks & Spencer! The best part about this recipe is that they are feather light and super quick! So here's how to make them!
I was lucky enough to be gifted Magnitone's pulsar to review how it aids the application of fake tan, exfoliates and smooths natural tan and how it helps eliminate symptoms of shaving such as skin irritation. This post will briefly review what I think of the product so far and how it works. So if you were thinking of getting a Magnitone Pulsar to perfect your skin, this mini review might help to answer some of your questions.
Disney's Magic Kingdom |
Hello! I wanted to do a little update post today, since today marks two weeks until the magic beings!
If you've been following my blog, you'll know the last CEP post I created was about booking my tour with STA for after the program. Today's post will detail all the little things I've organized and bought in the final run up to the big day. If you're thinking of doing this program in the future, this is probably a really important post, for those of you who are not - this may be a tad boring!! So I've added some pretty pictures of my last trip to WDW to break up this rather lengthy post of boring but important stuff.
Summer is coming! And your hair can also make the most of those summer months! When you read this post, you'll either be like "duh, everyone knows that" or completely amazed, I'm thinking...
You're probably aware of the increasingly different types of earrings that are around today. From the traditional chandelier to the new craze of the dermal punch jewellery. But what suits us best? This post is going to look at some hoops, studs and cuffs which I was lucky enough to be sent from Touchstone Accessories to blog about. So this is the start of my blogging collaboration using this set of samples. Today's post will explain the simple art of choosing the right earrings to complement your style, complexion and face shape! When buying earrings, we probably tend to pick up anything that we initially like - of course there is nothing wrong with this! But if you want to make to most of your facial features with the help of earrings, read on..
I got this adorable journal for my birthday this year. I asked for it after seeing it on Instagram (where else) and thought it was a really cute way to note down my thoughts.
Tan accelerator? I like the sound of that! I came across this product called Eco Tan Accelerator on Amazon and the reviews were excellent and basically persuaded me to buy it. It claims to boost the melanin (something in your skin that changes the pigment of your skin) levels in your skin, hence helping you tan faster and making it last longer.
I think I speak for 99% of the Instagram population when I say 'I need a Triangl bikini', right? They're terribly gorgeous, but also terribly expensive - especially for a student like myself (boo hoo). I'm not quite sure why I've never searched for dupes before, I guess I thought Triangl was so unique, it could not be replicated. I know high street shops like River Island and Primark have made their own versions with piping and similar materials, but still these didn't quite match my love for Triangl. I came across a blogger (I completely forgotten her name, I feel awful!!) and I was having a little feed stalk (as you do) and tapped on, what I thought was a photo of her Triangl bikini - it wasn't! It was dupe! Omfg omfg omfg, a new door had been opened! I immediately found her post on her blog about the dupe and found out how I could get my hands on a Triangl dupe.
I've seen several people on Insta raving about these 30 day fitness challenges - some of their before and after shots are incredible! This is my before/present image, above (on a good day!). And they've given me motivation to have a go a one myself, since I have a few holidays coming up and that trip to America!
Social media lately is absolutely full to the brim with 'cute stuff'! Trends at the moment tend to include unicorns, glitter, galaxy prints, pastels, sweet treats which feature on clothes, phone cases, home interior, jewellery and so on! So why not have some cuteness on your phone's apps too!?
After spending a significant amount on my best friend's main birthday presents for her 21st, I wanted to giver her something else that was unique, creative and low cost. So I made this 'L' bedroom ornament for just £2.99 using a wooden letter from eBay and some pretty crafty bits I had lying around at home! Read on to see how this quick and easy gift is achieved!
Even now it's months on I still can't believe I got invited to that final interview at Disney HQ! This post is quite long but it's worth having a read if you're preparing for your final interview for the cultural exchange program or are just interested! The best piece of advice I can give is do your preparation!
OMFG!!!!!!!!!!!
After thinking I'd made an absolute fool of myself and completely thrown away this incredible opportunity at my recruitment event, a couple days later I got the email from Yummy Jobs inviting me to THE FINAL INTERVIEW STAGE!!!!
If you're lucky enough to have had your application approved then congratulations! Yummy Jobs get 1000's of applications, not everyone can be approved so you've done amazingly well to get this far! The next step is to attend the first interview stage which is known as a 'Recruitment Event'. From reading other blogs, this stage used to be a telephone interview so you never know, next year's set of applicants could return to telephone interviewing.
This e-mail was such a surprise!!! I'd been invited to a regional recruitment event!
I was pretty happy!
